Favorite Sweet: Mango Pomelo Sago

When it comes to my favorite sweet, it's Mango Pomelo Sago. It originated from Hong Kong, featuring a combination of three fruits—mango, pomelo, and passion fruit—along with coconut milk and strawberry seeds. It offers a delightful texture with its pulpy consistency and a smooth, tropical flavor. It's not only popular in Hong Kong but also in Chinese restaurants abroad. Recently, it has been gaining popularity in Japan too; CoCo, a tapioca shop in Japan, has even sold Mango Pomelo Sago as a limited-time product.

Favorite Sweet: Panellet

Panellet is a Catalan sweet. It's a tradition to enjoy this sweet with Ratafía, a Catalan liquor, during autumn. Panellet is covered with pine nuts and baked, resulting in a crispy outer layer. However, inside it's soft and moist, made from potatoes (or sweet potatoes) and sugar. Additionally, it can include ingredients like coconut flakes, chocolate, coffee, or candied cherries, offering various sweet and savory flavors. Although different from roasted buns, its texture and chocolate flavors are similar, evoking memories of eating Panellet.

Favorite Sweet: Mel i matò

My favorite sweet is called Mel i matò. I love its rich sweetness and unique flavor. This dessert is particularly appealing with its intense, sweet honey flavor. It has a soft, moist texture that spreads gentle sweetness throughout your mouth. Mel i matò is a traditional dessert loved in the Catalonia region. Typically, it consists of fresh cheese called 'matò' topped generously with local honey. The natural flavor of fresh cheese and the sweetness of honey harmonize perfectly, offering a simple yet luxurious taste experience. This dessert is particularly popular as an after-dinner treat, loved not only by locals but also by tourists. You can find freshly made Mel i matò in local markets and restaurants, showcasing Catalonia's culture and tradition through its rustic and natural flavors.

Favorite Sweet: Cheesecake

I love cheesecake. Any kind is fine with me. I like a variety of sweets but this one is special because my dad used to treat me to cheesecake sometimes while I was growing up. Of course, the taste depends on the variety but it's generally sweet with a hint of cheese. The 'cheese' taste comes from the cream. Actually, I don't know much about the ingredients of the cake but it's probably a basic vanilla cake. Toppings are often added on top of the cream (such as syrup like strawberries and blueberries). When you bite the top of the cheesecake, you feel a rich cream. Then you enjoy the fluffy cake. Absolutely popular. A famous place for cheesecake is a restaurant called 'The Cheesecake Factory.' I have never been there but I will definitely go someday.
